- This Non-Immigrant B visa applies to foreign investors or company directors setting up a Thai business. In such a case, you must be sponsored by a Thai entity in Thailand.
- Supporting documents from the Thai company or Thailand Board of Investment (BOI) are required.
3. Business Visa for Teaching Activities
- This Non-Immigrant B visa applies to foreigners who intend to take up employment as school teachers at the levels below university level in Thailand.
- Letter of acceptance from employing institute or school in Thailand is required.
Eligibility Requirements
To qualify for a Thailand Business Visa, applicants must meet the following:
- Valid Passport – with at least 6 months validity (12 months recommended for multiple-entry).
- Letter of Invitation – from a Thai company, government agency, or BOI-certified entity.
- Corporate Documents – of the inviting company (business registration, shareholder list, financial statements).
- Financial Evidence – proof of sufficient funds to support your stay in Thailand.
- Employment Contract / Job Offer – if applying for work purposes.
- For Investors / Directors – proof of investment or company formation documents.
Note: Documents issued by companies must be certified by a member of the company’s Board of Directors or by a Managing Director. All supporting documents must be in Thai or English. Documents in other languages must be officially translated and notarized before submission.
Applicants must also be physically present in the country where the visa application is submitted.
